History Channel Coverage of the Oak Lawn Tornado

In 2006, the History Channel produced a “what if” documentary on Tornado Day, 1967, in the Chicago area. The premise of the show was, how deadly would the Oak Lawn tornado have been if the path of the destruction had been exactly ten miles to the north? This would have placed the tornado’s path directly through the Loop.

The predictions? 750 dead and more than 10,000 injured.
